One Group Trip Down, More to Come!

Hi Reader,

Have you missed us the past 2 weeks? We hit pause on our weekly newsletter, because we were hosting our first ever girls group trip in Egypt!

We had 7 women from all over the USA fly to Egypt to spend 9 days exploring ancient wonders with us. At the start of the trip, mostly everyone was complete strangers. By the end, we were dancing together every night on our Nile cruise and falling into each other laughing hysterically at all the new inside jokes we'd made together.

We spent hours at the pyramids, checked out the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, visited countless temples that are thousands of years old, took a boat down the smaller channels of the Nile to see wildlife up close, saw vibrantly painted houses in the Nubian Village, witnessed local communities come together to break their fast for Ramadan, visited churches in Coptic Cairo, shopped at souks for spices and souvenirs, and SO MUCH MORE.

And don't even get us started on the food. Everything was so delicious and flavorful! It was sad coming back to the USA and every meal not having warm homemade bread with a dozen dips to choose from.

If you're reading this thinking Wow. I want to go on a trip like this!, we've got good news: We had such a fab time on our 1st group trip that we've decided to host another Egypt group trip toward the end of 2026. And since you're a newsletter subscriber, you'll of course be the first to know the details when we get them all sorted. So start saving your pennies if you want to go with us!

And if you want the same experience, but maybe group trips aren't your thing, our tour operator in Egypt has offered to give special deals to anyone who books with him and mentions The Stickered Suitcase. You can find his website HERE and his glowing reviews HERE.

We've already started posting video recaps of the trip on Instagram and TikTok and we've got some new blog posts in the works. Check out the section below to see some of our fav things from the trip!

From our suitcase to yours,

Fav Egypt Experience: One morning half the group went to Abu Simbel and the rest of us explored the market in Aswan. I loved getting to meander through the shops at our own pace and have tea without being surrounded by other tourists. It was so nice to get a local vibe / feel!

Fav Meal: It's hard to pick, but I really loved the welcome meal our first night that had amazing views of the Mosque of Muhammad Ali and the farewell dinner where our guide's wife cooked a feast for our group!

Fav Souvenir: I'm not much of a souvenir person, but I did find a cute flower vase at a pottery shop that I loved. It's got floral designs etched into the surface. I move around the USA every few months, and this is something I can easily take with me to remember our trip by.

Fav Egypt Experience: I absolutely loved our morning spent taking the boat to the Nubian Village in Aswan. It was so peaceful, and just a beautiful day from start to finish. I especially liked visiting the pre-school classroom there and learning the Arabic alphabet and numbers.

Fav Meal: I loved the Nubian chicken tagine. It was so flavorful! The farewell dinner was also superb. You could just tell the food was all made with love. It was so nice for our tour guide's wife to have cooked such a big meal for us.

Fav Souvenir: I bought a huge colorful wall hanging at the carpet school that reminded me of Aswan. I can't wait to hang it above my fireplace! I also got a beautiful painting in Coptic Cairo that reminds me of our time exploring the souks.

Quiet mornings with coffee and jam packed afternoons? Bike rides and beach bars? Wide-open wilderness and beach strolls with your dog? As two Georgia girls, we've spent a lot of time visiting beaches in the Southeastern USA. Here are some of the Southeast’s most beloved beaches and who they might be best suited for: 🌿...
